Enrolment

When, where and how to enrol or change the enrolment

IMPORTANT:  New students have to enrol for the entire academic year (Q1 and Q2). Students from previous years have to enrol in the elective subjects (Q3), but have to consider that there are two periods of enrolment for the TFM (according to the term of defence) and that they have to enrol approximately 3 weeks before.

Documents to submit

The documents that have to be submitted depend on the location where the degree was obtained or on the kind of studies that give access to the university master.

From UPC own centres:

  • Copy of DNI, NIE or passport.
  • Original and copy (or certified copy) of the English Proficiency Certificate (level B2) or equivalent (if available).
  • If studies have been passed that are different from the degree that gives access to the master, but that are linked with the area of knowledge of the master, accreditation documentation (original and copy or certified copy) has to be presented.

From UPC associated centres or from any university of Spain, additionally to the documents listed above, there have to be presented:

  • Copy of DNI, NIE or passport
  • Original and copy (or certified copy) of the degree that gives access to the master or a provisional degree certificate, proving that the degree will be obtained in time..
  • Original and copy (or certified copy) of an academic certificate that contains all the subjects passed and the corresponding grades and number of credits/hour. The certificate also has to contain the global average of the academic achievements of the student.
  • Original and copy (or certified copy) of the English Proficiency Certificate (level B2) or equivalent (if available).

From foreign universities or institutions of higher education:

  • Copy of DNI, NIE or passport.
  • Original and copy (certified copy) of the certificate of homologation of the degree that gives access to the master.
  • If the degree is not accredited, a document released by the university where the degree was obtained, or by a responsible authority of the country, has to be attached. The document has to state that the degree has a standard period of study of at least three years and qualifies for postgraduate studies (Masters) in the country of origin. If this is not possible, it has to be indicated to which level of higher education the degree gives access.
  • Original and copy (or certified copy) of an academic certificate that contains all the subjects passed and the corresponding grades and number of credits/hour. The certificate also has to contain the global average of the academic achievements of the student. The document also has to include the applied grading system.
  • If studies have been passed that are different to the degree that gives access to the master, but that are linked with the area of knowledge of the master, the accreditation documentation (original and copy or certified copy) has to be presented.
  • Original and copy (or certified copy) of the English proficiency certificate (level B2) or equivalent (if available).

IMPORTANT: All documents issued in countries outside of the EU have to be legalized the diplomatic way or by means of the corresponding apostille.

After the department of administration has validated the submitted documents, the enrolment can be undertaken. Once the payment of the enrolment fees are delivered to the corresponding bank account, the applicant is student of the university master of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.

Students from previous years

Students from previous years do not have to submit new documents (just those which have to be renewed every year, like the large family status). On the day of enrolment the student selects the elective courses.
